    The Town of Bernalillo Fire and Rescue Department is seeking your help in building our department to new heights. This year we have begun an initiative to double our number of volunteers and you may be the key to success.

    The Town of Bernalillo Fire Department is one of the busiest volunteer fire departments in the State of New Mexico and is charged with providing fire suppression and emergency medical care for the residence of the city and neighboring communities. By joining the department you can build important skills for your personal life and professional goals, as well as creating long lasting friendships, memories and experiences. We have opportunities for people of all sorts of backgrounds and goals.

• Looking to start a career in Firefighting and/or Emergency Medicinal Care?

The training and experience you will receive during your time with us will carry on to your future career. We provide certified education that can place you a step above the rest when interviewing for a career fire department or EMS agency.

• Looking to supplement free time with meaningful benefit?

People of all ages can make a meaningful impact to the community by giving our department some of your free time. What better way to spend your time than helping those in your community?

The department provides important experiences in community planning, teamwork, critical thinking, problem solving, communication and continuing education. All of these things are sought out by employers and colleges alike.
